ENCINITAS–Rancho Coastal Humane Society will celebrate 55 years of service at an annual Celebration of Second Chances gala November 14 at the Del Mar Country Club in Rancho Santa Fe.
This year’s theme, “Every Animal Deserves a Tomorrow,” celebrates the facility’s past, present, and the future.
“We’ve never rested on our past success. When Maria K. Lloyd founded Rancho Coastal Humane Society it was a little yellow house on a dirt road, far off the beaten path,” RCHS President Jim Silveira said. “Today we’re surrounded by businesses, churches, and a hospital,”
Silveira says tickets for the Celebration of Second Chances are expected to sell out earlier than usual.
“The Celebration sells out every year, but ticket sales are far ahead of what we predicted,” he said.
Premier tickets at $285 include a cocktail reception with RCHS President Jim Silveira. The reception for the $185 level will begin at 5:30 p.m. All guests will be treated to dinner, drinks, entertainment, a raffle, and auction items.
CBS News 8 reporter Jeff Zevely and his wife, Heather, will host the event. The evening will also feature the world premiere of the “Give. Love. Grow,” video by Emmy Award winning producer Zoya Popova.
The event will be held November 14 at 5 p.m. at the Del Mar Country Club in Rancho Santa Fe.
