OCEANSIDE–A 37-year-old male who had sustained signs of traumatic injury to his body was found dead early Thursday morning in Oceanside.
Oceanside police dispatch received a 9-1-1 call at 5 a.m. of a medical aid in the 200 block of Windward Way. When first responders arrived on scene, they discovered a male victim with an injury, according to homicide investigators.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The exact causes of the injuries are unknown at this time and pending an autopsy by the County Medical Examiner’s Office. The incident being investigated as a homicide.
The victim is not an Oceanside resident, and does not appear to be gang related, authorities say.
The victim’s name will be withheld pending notification of the family.
