LAKESIDE–A male resident died from his injuries from a house fire in Lakeside New Year’s Day, fire investigators said Sunday.
Lakeside deputies responded to a call to investigate a house on fire. The blaze was extinguished however; one male victim, the sole occupant of the house, was transported to the hospital for his injuries.
The victim later passed away from his injuries suffered in the fire. There are no outstanding suspects and the fire appears to be intentional.
The cause and manner of death will be determined at the conclusion of the autopsy. The investigation is continuing.
