OCEANSIDE–Authorities Friday are investigating a shooting at an Oceanside apartment that left a 19-year-old Hispanic man with sustained gunshot wounds to the chest area.
Oceanside police officers responded just after 10:30 a.m. to a radio call of multiple gunshots in the area of 500 block of Los Arbolitos Blvd., according to Oceanside Police Department Officer Kathleen Vincent.
Paramedics treated the victim and transported him by air ambulance to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla. Condition of his injuries was not available.
Police officers are searching for two suspects who fled in a white four-door sedan after the shooting. They are currently on scene investigating the incident, and interviewing witnesses.
No suspects have been arrested.
