Jeremiah WilliamsSAN DIEGO–San Diego police department investigators released the name and image of the suspect accused of sexually assaulting a woman inside her University Town Center apartment August 13.

The suspect, Jeremiah Williams, is approximately 25 to 30-years-old, five feet, nine inches” to five feet, eleven inches tall, 180 pounds, with a medium or athletic build. He had short black hair and a short black beard. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray shorts with red stripes on the sides, and black sneakers. He was also carrying a black backpack.

The victim was walking through the parking structure toward her residence in the Venetian Apartments, located in the 3900 block of  Nobel Drive. Approximately halfway through the parking structure, the victim noticed that she was being followed by an unidentified black male.

The male followed the victim to her apartment. As she unlocked her door, he knocked her to the ground. He then displayed a black handgun and demanded money from the victim. The victim complied. He began to choke the victim and forced her into her apartment. He sexually assaulted the victim inside the apartment and then fled the area in an unknown direction.
