OCEANSIDE–An adult male was shot and killed early Saturday morning in Oceanside, authorities said Saturday.
Oceanside police responded at 2 a.m. to the 800 block of Langford Street to multiple reports of gunshots. Officers arrived on scene and were contacted by a man in his 20’s who directed them to a gunshot victim on an upstairs apartment porch. The victim, an Oceanside man in his late 20’s, had been shot at a nearby location and managed to make his way to the apartment porch before collapsing. The victim was suffering from gunshot wounds and officers provided first aid until paramedics responded. The victim was ultimately pronounced dead on scene.
Detectives from the Crimes of Violence unit responded to the scene to investigate. The suspect is still outstanding and detectives are requesting assistance from the public.
