SAN DIEGO–An adult male was found deceased on a pedestrian bridge in downtown San Diego, San Diego police said Friday.
San Diego police received a 911 call just after 10 a.m. about a male who appeared to be deceased on the bridge along the 2900 block of Kettner Boulevard.
Patrol officers located a white male in his 50’s on the ground and not breathing. The victim suffered trauma to his upper torso. The officers started lifesaving efforts until medics arrived, but the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by medics a short time later.
Homicide detectives are currently investigating the incident. The cause of death is undetermined at this time. The Medical Examiner’s office will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
The victim’s identity is known but will not be released pending family notifications.
