OCEANSIDE–A 22 year-old Hispanic man Wednesday morning was found fatally stabbed in Oceanside, homicide detectives said today.
Oceanside police says approximately at midnight officers responded to a call of a possible stabbing in the 1500 block of Lemon Street. They arrived to found a male on the ground with a stab wound. The victim was going in and out of consciousness and officers provided immediate first aid. Paramedics flew the victim by air ambulance to Scripps La Jolla. The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Detectives from the Crimes of Violence unit are currently on scene investigating.
There are reports of a possible disturbance prior to the assault and detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Oceanside Police Department at (760) 435-4911.
