SAN DIEGO–Fresh Start Surgical Gifts, a San Diego nonprofit, swings “fore” smiles at its 24th annual Celebrity Golf Classic on March 6 to 7 at the Morgan Run Resort and Spa in Rancho Santa Fe. The event will be co-hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro, best known for his role in “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” and “Melrose Place’s” Grant Show.
The golf classic will kick off March 6 with a cocktail reception, dinner party and live and silent auction. On March 7, each participating foursome will be paired with a celebrity or professional athlete for a day of golf.
“Our goal is to raise $140,000 during our 24th annual Celebrity Golf Classic so we can continue to provide surgical gifts to infants, children and teens with physical deformities,” said Fresh Start Surgical Gifts CEO Shari Brasher. “Fresh Start provides 100 percent of all its donations to the medical program.”
The event will benefit the nonprofit’s mission to transform the lives of disadvantaged infants, children and teens with physical deformities caused by birth defects, accidents, abuse, or disease through the gift of reconstructive surgery and related healthcare services.
The title sponsor for the Fresh Start 24th annual Celebrity Golf Classic is EDCO, a family-owned and locally-operated waste collection and recycling company.
