SAN DIEGO–Construction crews will close State Route 76 (SR-76) at the intersection of Old Highway 395 for approximately one hour at 11 a.m. on February 4 to conduct a rock blasting operation.

The rock blasting is being done as part of SR-76 East Segment Project to widen and realign the highway to meet present and future traveling needs in the growing North County inland region.

Motorists are advised to plan their travel accordingly. The blasting schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions.

During the blasting operation, Caltrans crews will establish a safety perimeter at Old Highway 395. As a precaution, Park and Ride users should park in the temporary lot located at the southeast corner of SR-76 and Old Highway 395, and take the shuttle to the regular bus stop at the northeast corner of the intersection.
