ESCONDIDO–Homicide investigators are looking for leads in the fatal shooting of an adult male January 25 at an apartment complex in Escondido.
Escondido police officers responded to multiple reports of gunfire heard in the area of 1256 East Washington Avenue at the Daybreak Grove Apartments. Officers arrived to find an adult male victim lying down near a driveway to the complex. The victim had a single gunshot wound. He was transported to Palomar Medical Center by Escondido Fire Paramedics, where he later died. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family.
