LOS ANGELES–The 88th Academy Awards nominations were officially announced Thursday morning by Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences President Cheryl Boone Isaacs, film director Guillermo del Toro, actor John Krasinski and film director Ang Lee.

At a two-part live news conference at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, Isaacs, de Toro, Krasinki and Lee took turns unveiling the 24 nominees of 2015 films: Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Directing, Film Editing, Foreign Language Film, Original Score, Best Picture, Production Design, Visual Effects, Adapted Screenplay, Original Screenplay, Animated Feature Film, Cinematography, Costume Design, Documentary Feature, Documentary Short Subject, Makeup and Hairstyling, Original Song, Animated Short Film, Live Action Short Film, Sound Editing and Sound Mixing.

The Oscars will air February 28, live on ABC.

The 88th Oscars will be held February 28 at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood and Highland Center in Hollywood. The awards ceremony will be televised live on ABC Television Network at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.  The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.
