RAMONA–Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man who allegedly carjacked and kidnapped two males from a sports complex in the Kearny Mesa.

Deputies responded to a report of a car crash on San Vicente and Wildcat Canyon Roads just after 10 a.m. Wednesday. Upon arrival, two men inside the car told deputies they had been kidnapped from a sports complex.

After the crash, the alleged suspect carjacked an elderly woman and headed south on Highway 67. One of the men who claimed he was kidnapped was taken to a hospital with minor injuries sustained in the crash. The other man and the carjacking victim were not hurt.

He is described as a white man between 50 to 60 years old, five feet, eight inches to five feet, nine inches tall with a thin build and unshaven. He was last seen wearing black sunglasses, a zippered hoody, faded blue jeans and light colored shoes. He might have been injured in the crash. He is driving a silver Mercury SUV with California License Plate number 6KLF075 with a sunroof, roof rack and Kansas Jayhawks license plate frame in the rear.
