SANTEE–A dispute between four males ended in a vehicle chase and collision in Lakeside, Sheriff’s deputies say.

Santee deputies received Wednesday morning a call of a male brandishing a handgun in the area of Graves Avenue at Prospect Avenue in Santee.

Follow up calls indicated there were vehicles chasing each other southbound on Graves. Two of the three vehicles involved in the chase collided at Graves and Danny Street in Lakeside. Deputies contacted four people from three different vehicles. Three were adults and one was a 17 year-old juvenile.

Deputies say the men made plans to meet at a location in Santee. During the meeting one party, the juvenile, brandished and pointed a handgun from within one of the vehicles. Deputies say the juvenile fired what appeared to be a handgun once. After the shooting, the car then sped away. The other two vehicles gave chase southbound on Graves. Two of the vehicles collided and went off the roadway at Graves and Danny Street. From witness reports it appeared the collision was intentional.

Deputies identified one of the drivers as Keondre Moore and the juvenile was his passenger. All four individuals were arrested for a combination of brandishing a handgun and assault with a vehicle. The handgun used in the crime was later located and determined to be an airsoft gun.

The charge of assault with a deadly weapon with the vehicle was determined to be unfounded, according to deputies. Two of the men were released without charges. Moore and the 17 year-old juvenile were charged with brandishing a weapon in a threatening manner.
