CARLSBAD–The National Transportation Safety Board will conduct an investigation into the cause of a helicopter crash that killed two men Wednesday afternoon at McClellan-Palomar Airport in Carlsbad.

Carlsbad fire department officials say no other aircraft appear to be involved in the 4:30 p.m. fatal crash, and no airport structures were damaged.

Information regarding the identities of the passengers, or details of the aircraft will not be released at this time, according to airport officials.

The airport will remained closed until further notice.
