LAKESIDE–Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 27 year-old male for allegedly burglarizing the Lakeside River Park Conservancy.
The suspect, Joshua Parnell, was taken into custody Monday without incident.
Deputies say employees of the conservancy, located at 12108 Industry Road in Lakeside, discovered that their office had been burglarized. Food from the refrigerator was scattered on the tables, a laptop stolen, and the alarm had been dismantled from the wall. Employees checked the security camera recording and observed a young white male walking through the office, eating the food, and tampering with the alarm system.
On Monday morning, employees arrived at work and discovered the same man from the video standing in the kitchen drinking tea. When asked what he was doing, Parnell stated that he had come in through the window and offered to clean up when he was done.
The Conservancy estimated the total damage at $600.
