VISTA–A motorcyclist collided with a parked vehicle on a street and died on the scene, a Sheriff’s deputy said Sunday.
The fatal collision occurred Sunday in the 500 block of North Emerald Drive in Vista.
Deputies found the 26 year-old male driver of the motorcycle in the roadway. He was declared deceased at the scene.
The motorcycle had been traveling northbound on N. Emerald Drive. For an undetermined reason, the motorcycle drifted to the right and collided with the left rear of a vehicle which was legally parked along the east side of the roadway, according to deputies. The impact caused the driver to be ejected onto the roadway. Alcohol does appear to be a factor in the collision.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
