SAN DIEGO–Higgs Fletcher and Mack, a San Diego-based, full-service law firm for 75 years, announced today that the firm and its staff recently donated nearly $18,000 to United Way of San Diego County.
The contribution is almost $8,000 more than what was raised in a similar 2013 campaign and on top of Higgs’ ongoing “7,500-Hour Volunteer Challenge” to celebrate its 75th anniversary.
“Higgs has been a United Way supporter for more than 30 years. We’re proud to contribute to such an outstanding organization that supports a wide network of services that together serve entire families and neighborhoods locally,” said Henry Angelino, Executive Director at Higgs Fletcher & Mack. “We launched this campaign in September and matched every employee contribution during this time. It was exciting to see our team fired up and involved in raising money for a worthy cause. Doing so reiterates the values and culture Higgs stands for.”
In addition, Higgs is currently conducting a “7,500-Hour Volunteer Challenge” campaign as part of their 75th anniversary celebration whereby members of the firm will collectively donate 7,500 hours of community service along with monetary contributions to select non-profits throughout the year. Previous initiatives have included serving military families dinner at the downtown San Diego USO facility in January, support for the 22nd Annual Womens Resource Fair last March, a private movie screening of “Boxtrolls” at Rady Childrens Hospital for its patients this past September and provided dinner and entertainment to the families of hospitalized children at the Ronald McDonald House in October of this year.
