SAN DIEGO–A juvenile was arrested by police for posting a threatening message against Torrey Pines High School on the Internet, San Diego police says.

On November 20, information was provided by a student to school officials regarding the threatening. School officials began working with law enforcement and precautionary measures were implemented.

On the same day at about 3 p.m. Canyon Crest Academy also received threatening posts via the internet. Law enforcement was notified and precautionary measures were implemented at this school as well.

On November 20, officers arrested a 17 year-old juvenile in connection with the threats made against Torrey Pines High School. The juvenile was not a student of the high school and was transported to Juvenile Hall.
