VISTA—Two Vista residents with ties to gangs were arrested by Sheriff’s deputies for assault with a deadly weapon, deputies said on Friday.

On Friday, at about 10:37 p.m., deputies from the Vista Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a stabbing at 155 East East Drive in Vista. Two victims were located at the scene with multiple stab wounds. Both victims were transported to Palomar Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Luis Enrique Garcia, a documented gang member, was arrested on two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, and with a gang allegation. Stephanie Lopez was arrested for accessory to a felony after the fact. Both were booked into the Vista Detention Facility.

The investigation is ongoing and being handled by gang detectives.
