Nashville, TN–Country Rap artist, Mikel Knight, released his new single and music video for Last Night in Texas today.
Label executive and recording artist Mikel Knight, known as The Maverick of Music Row, has bridged the gap between country culture and city streets with his own infusion of country hip-hop music. He has sold over 500,000 albums to date, with chart-topping singles that have reached #1 and #2 of Top Line Dancing Songs in the United States, Europe and Asia. Additionally, his music has been featured on MTV’s “Buck Wild.”
Taking the distribution of his music into his own hands, Knight created the Maverick Dirt Road Street Team. They started by selling 20 albums a day out of one van and in less than two years they now have sixteen vans and sixty-two cowboys. The Maverick of Music Row has become the first artist in history to reach Gold by selling albums from his street team and has a new goal of selling a million albums and to be the first to go platinum by selling albums hand to hand.
