SAN DIEGO–Crime Stoppers and investigators are asking for assistance from the public to help identify and locate unknown suspects wanted for a series of armed robberies in the Ocean Beach area.

On September 19 at 11:20 p.m., a female was sitting on a bench in the 2300 block of Famosa Boulevard, in San Diego. A Hispanic male approached the female and while displaying a black semi-auto handgun, demanded her property. After taking the victim’s property, the suspect fled northbound through the park.

On September 20 at 3:10 a.m., a Hispanic male confronted a male riding a bicycle in the 1300 block of Sunset Cliffs Boulevard. The Hispanic male pushed the victim off his bicycle, pointed a black semi-auto handgun at him, and demanded the victim’s property. The suspect fled the scene in a 1990’s white Honda or Toyota sedan southbound on 1300 Sunset Cliffs Boulevard.

On September 21 at 1:50 a.m., a male was walking in the park area adjacent to 700 Sunset Cliffs Boulevard. Three Hispanic males approached the victim. One of the males pointed a black semi-auto handgun at the victim and demanded his property. One of the males then punched the victim. The suspects ran east towards 4500 Ladera Street.

On September 21 at 2:15 a.m., two males were walking in the 2100 block of Catalina Boulevard. The males were approached by a Hispanic male who pointed a handgun at them and demanded their property. The suspect then got into the front passenger side of a 1990’s white 2-door Ford Escort. The vehicle drove away northbound on Catalina Boulevard.

Investigators believe these cases are related. The main suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, 160 to170 pounds with brown hair and eyes. The suspect’s vehicle is described as an early 1990’s white Ford Escort or similar vehicle.
