SAN DIEGO–More than 80 San Diego area restaurants will help raise funds for San Diego LGBT Community Center’s HIV services and programs.

San Diego’s 13th annual Dining Out For Life event allows everyone to contribute to the fight against HIV by simply dining out for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks at more than 80 participating restaurants and bars.

Those businesses will donate 25% or more of their food and liquor sales – including a record 17 locations donating 50% or more — to support HIV services and prevention programs. The event begins May 2, all day from breakfast through dinner.

Participating restaurants, bars, coffee shops and ice cream shops from Chula Vista to La Jolla and La Mesa to Mission Beach, along with longtime participating establishments in Hillcrest, North Park, Normal Heights and Kensington.

More than 18,000 San Diegans are living with HIV. All funds raised locally will support HIV services and prevention programs at The San Diego LGBT Community Center.
