SAN DIEGO–One Love San Diego, a nonprofit focused on helping at-risk and homeless youth, will host “Yoga Glow in the Night,” a charity event benefitting Monarch School on April 26.

The event will start at 6 p.m. in the school gymnasium and is expected to attract 700 attendees and raise more than $30,000.

“Monarch School is a local San Diego school that educates kids impacted by homelessness. This cause is very near and dear to my heart because I was once homeless myself before being adopted from an orphanage,” said Kim Bauman, Founder of One Love San Diego and Studio Manager at CorePower Yoga Del Mar. “It’s very important that we raise money for the children at Monarch and hope we can make this a fun, successful event for them. There will be a phenomenal group of yoga instructors helping lead the exercises and the best part is that it’s suitable for all levels.”

One Love is partnering with Fitn, a membership service where individuals can choose from various types of studio workouts in San Diego, including Pilates, yoga, CrossFit, spin, barre, and more, whenever they want, wherever it’s convenient and at a fraction of the cost. The company will make a $50 donation to Monarch School for every person who signs up on its website between April 15 and May 31. In addition, Fitn will have a booth at the event where participants can sign-up. Furthermore, for each sign-up, Fitn will donate $1 per workout to Monarch School.

“We’re thrilled to be involved with such a great event that’s fitness related, especially because it’s helping children here in San Diego which is our mission and what we’re passionate about,” said David Metzler, CEO of Fitn. “Kim has done great things and her story and passion really makes this so special. We’re looking forward to a fun filled night of yoga and helping a lot of people together!”

Participants should bring a water bottle, yoga mat, towel and are encouraged to wear athletic or yoga neon apparel. A glow-in-the-dark wristband and necklace will be provided to everyone in attendance.
