SAN DIEGO–Crime Stoppers and the San Diego Police Department Homicide Unit continue to look for leads to help identify and locate the person(s) responsible for the homicide of Carlos Montano Moreno.

On April 10, 2012, at 2:38 a.m., officers responded to the 2700 block of Manos Drive on a report of gunshots heard and a person down in the alley behind the apartments. Officers found the male victim, 27-year-old Carlos Montano Moreno, suffering from gunshot wounds. Moreno was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Detectives believe Moreno went to the east alley of 2733 Manos Drive to meet an acquaintance. As the pair spoke in the alley, two unknown suspects approached on foot. The suspect(s) shot Moreno before fleeing in an unknown direction.
