Suspicious Suitcase Found In Front Of Business

CARLSBAD–Carlsbad police are investigating a suspicious brown suitcase that had been left sitting upright and unattended in front of a business.

On April 7 at 11:44 a.m., officers was called about the suitcase in the 2500 block of El Camino Real in Carlsbad.

Out of caution, officers, with the help of the fire department and Sheriff’s Department’s Bomb Squad, created a perimeter around the suitcase and examined it. Sheriff’s department detonated the suitcase.

The suitcase was empty.
