SAN DIEGO–One Picture Saves a Life is hosting a workshop at San Diego Humane Society and SPCA on April 5. The workshop is free and open to the public and shelters.

The event, starting at 9:30 a.m., is part of a multi-city tour that brings pet industry celebrities together to increase pet adoption. The tour’s goal is to raise awareness about the impact that good grooming and an engaging intake photo has in helping pets find a forever home.

With 73% of adoptions starting online, an animal’s photo is often the best chance it has for being adopted. At each tour stop, the celebrity team will host a workshop for shelter staff and local volunteers that teach key grooming and photography techniques to raise adoption rates.

In honor of Jackson Galaxy’s visit, the San Diego Humane Society will also be offering a special cat adoption promotion to celebrate the event -$5 Felines. All cat adoptions will be just $5 on Saturday. RSVP at www.sdhumane.org.

The San Diego Humane Society and SPCA is located at 5500 Gaines Street in San Diego.
