SAN DIEGO–Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego County  Sheriff’s  Department’s  San  Marcos  Station  are asking  for assistance  from  the  public  to  help  identify  and  locate  the  unknown suspect wanted in connection with the theft of an English bulldog named Schroeder.

On the early evening of March 19, Schroeder escaped from 907 W. San Marcos Boulevard in San Marcos. He was found by a Good Samaritan and taken to Dogtopia,  a  nearby  dog  daycare, located at  925 W.  San Marcos Blvd.
At about 7:40 p.m., an unknown male entered Dogtopia and claimed to  be a friend of Schroder’s owner. He was asked to describe the dog, which he did, before it was released to him.

The suspect is described as an adult Hispanic male.  He has black hair and a mustache.  At the time of the theft he was wearing gray pants and a black long sleeve shirt.

Anyone with information should call the San Marcos Sheriff’s station at (760) 510-5200, or Crime Stoppers tip line at (888) 580-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward with information that leads to an arrest in this case.
