CARLSBAD–Valentine’s Day was a wild ride for four San Diego couples as they renewed their marriage vows on Coastersaurus, one of three roller coasters at Legoland California Resort. The vows were renewed live on the roller coaster during “John & Tammy in the Morning,” a local FM radio program airing on KSON.

Tammy Lee, who recently became an ordained minister, recited the vows to David and Evonne Borgardt of San Marcos, Kim and Aaron Dean of Temecula, Bob and Rhea Tabler of Ramona and Derrick and Michelle Ford of Chula Vista while cruising at 20 miles per hour prior to Park opening. The couples were selected after listeners called in sharing their wedding stories.

“Some people say that marriage is a little like riding a roller coaster,” said host John Flint. “I say that’s incorrect. I say it’s exactly like riding a roller coaster!” Flint gave a toast during a brief reception at LEGOLAND ® Hotel where the couples shared champagne and cupcakes. LEGOLAND California Resort treated the couples and their children to a night stay at the new hotel and tickets to enjoy the family theme park and SEA LIFE Aquarium.

Coastersaurus is one of more than 60 rides shows and attractions at LEGOLAND California. For more information, visit www.LEGOLAND.com.
