SAN DIEGO–Environmental Health Coalition, an organization that fights toxic pollution in San Diego and Tijuana, have selected Aurora Zabish and Seamus Kennedy as its newest team members in development and human resources.
As the associate director of administration since March 2013, Zabish is responsible for providing strategic leadership in several crucial departments of EHC, including human resources, information technology and staff sustainability. Previously, Aurora spent six years as business and human resources director for the San Diego History Center in Balboa Park and chairing the committee for Casa de Balboa. She studied business administration at San Diego State University.
Kennedy, the senior development associate, will develop innovative strategies for individual donor fundraising including special events, appeals, and donor communication and participate on other EHC fundraising initiatives. Prior to joining EHC, he worked with nonprofit organizations such as the Democracy Alliance and Jacobs Center for Nonprofit Innovation, as well as fundraising with congressional and senatorial candidates. He graduated from San Diego State University with degrees in both history and political science and will soon graduate from the University of Notre Dame with a master’s degree in nonprofit administration.
