OCEANSIDE–Thousands of North County residents flocked to Chick-Fil-A in Oceanside Wednesday to support the restaurant after its company CEO Dan Cathy caused an uproar on his denouncement on same-sex marriage.
To counter threats of a boycott from gay activists against the Atlanta-based fast food chain, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Hukabee called for August 1 to be “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day” in support of the restaurant.
