FBI Arrests Local Man On Federal Child Pornography Charges

SAN DIEGO– San Diego FBI agents arrested a local man on possessing child pornography.

Daniel Nemanich of San Diego was arrested early Friday morning, July 27, at his residence without incident. Nemanich was arrested by FBI agents assigned to the FBI’s Cyber Crime Squad.

According to the criminal complaint filed in this matter, Nemanich is charged with receiving images of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

The FBI initiated an investigation into this matter earlier this year after receiving information from a security engineer with a local company. Based upon this information and additional investigation, the FBI obtained a search warrant for the residence of Daniel Anthony Nemanich.

On February 22, FBI agents served a federal search warrant at Daniel Anthony Nemanich’s residence. Seized during this search warrant were computers, external and internal hard drives, and other loose media and digital devices. Subsequent forensic analysis of the digital media seized from Nemanich’s residence revealed thousands of images and videos depicting minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

Following his arrest, Nemanich was booked into the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) where he remains in custody.
