SAN MARCOS–Sheriff’s Department detectives arrested Sunday a 13-year-old San Marcos boy suspected of tagging multiple areas in San Marcos.
Detectives from the San Marcos Sheriff’s Station say the teen was suspected of tagging the area from September to January. They were able to develop information of a 13-year-old suspect responsible for the vandalism.
During a search of the teen’s residence, detectives seized numerous items of evidence relating to graffiti activity.
The teen was arrested on 39 individual counts of misdemeanor vandalism. He was transported to Juvenile Hall in Kearny Mesa.
Sheriff’s Department policy does not release a juvenile’s name and address.
The estimate of damages was not available.
