Fallbrook Art Association opens general meeting to public

Guest artist Bernard Fallon’s “End of the Day” painting.

FALLBROOK–The public is invited to attend the Fallbrook Art Association’s next general meeting in January.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. January 10 at the Fallbrook Public Utilities Department Building, 990 E. Mission Rd. in Fallbrook.

Bernard Fallon will be the featured artist and painting demonstrator at the meeting. Preceding the demonstration, there will be an informal critique session from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Artists are invited to bring one or two works that are in progress in any media and will receive input to improve their work from Fallon.

Fallon was born in Liverpool, England and was educated at the Liverpool College of Art. Fallon’s current works include landscapes, marine scenes, and still life paintings in both oil and pastel. He is a member of the California Art Club and is a founder member of the Pastel Society of Southern California. He has conducted numerous demonstrations and workshops throughout Southern California and participated in many exhibitions. Fallon is also a published photographer and has had a one-man retrospective of his work in Liverpool in 2007.

Fallon will be conducting a workshop from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday January 15 at the Fallbrook Public Utilities Department Building.

The cost for the workshop is $30 for members of the Fallbrook Art Association and $40 for non-members.
