CARLSBAD–A new reward is being offered in the unsolved murder of Carlsbad resident Jodine Serrin. On February 14, 2007, 39-year-old Jodine Elizabeth Serrin, a mentally challenged woman, was found murdered in her Carlsbad condominium.
A $50,000 reward is being offered through the office of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger for information leading to the arrest and conviction in a California court of the person or persons responsible for Serrin’s death.
“The investigation into this tragic and violent death has been open and active since 2007. We are grateful to the Governor’s Office for this reward and hope it will bring added attention to this case so that we may find the person responsible for Jodine’s death,” said Lieutenant Kelly Cain, Investigations Commander. Carlsbad Police Department requested the Governor’s reward earlier this year.
The family and Crime Stoppers are offering an additional $2,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case, making the total reward $52,000.
